27 March 2026
Six national teams featuring Juventus Men's First Team players took to the pitch on Thursday, 26 March 2026, three of which were involved in the World Cup Qualification play-offs.
Let’s start with Italy’s crucial victory, secured in the second half, against Northern Ireland. In Bergamo, the Azzurri won 2-0 – thanks to goals from Sandro Tonali and Moise Kean – and progressed to the play-off final for a place at the World Cup, where they will face Bosnia and Herzegovina away. In the Italian national team’s victory, Manuel Locatelli started the match and played the full 90 minutes, whilst Federico Gatti came on shortly after the hour mark. Andrea Cambiaso, however, did not feature in this first match.
A few hours before Italy played, Kenan Yildiz’s Turkey won their play-off match, beating Romania 1-0 in Istanbul. The Juventus star played the full 90 minutes and put in an excellent performance.
Now Vincenzo Montella’s national team will battle for a place at the World Cup away from home, against Edon Zhegrova’s Kosovo.
Kosovo won 4-3 away against Slovakia. Zhegrova remained on the bench for the entire match.
Later that evening, Gleison Bremer and Brazil faced Pierre Kalulu and France in a friendly match in the United States, in Foxborough (Massachusetts). The French came out on top, winning 2–1. The goal that halved the deficit for the Brazilian side was scored by Bremer himself – who started the match and played the full 90 minutes – marking his first goal in a Brazil shirt. Kalulu also made an appearance, coming on as a substitute in stoppage time of the second half.
During the night in Italy, i.e. on Friday 27 March, Juan Cabal’s Colombia – with Cabal on the bench for the entire match – also took to the pitch for a friendly against Croatia. In Orlando, the Croatian's won 2-1.
