1994/95: FIORENTINA 1-4 JUVENTUS

Towards the tail-end of the Bianconeri’s 1994/95 title winning season, Fiorentina and Juventus locked horns at the Stadio Artemio Franchi for Matchday 31. The Bianconeri made a fast and ferocious start to the match with Fabrizio Ravanelli swinging a long-ball into the box from the right-hand side to be met first-time on the volley by Gianluca Vialli to make it 1-0. Early into the second half and Fiorentina were awarded a penalty after a foul from goalkeeper, Michelangelo Rampulla. However, Rampulla soon redeemed himself saving Gabriel Batistuta’s spot-kick. Up the other end, Ravanelli was tripped by Francesco Toldo and this time former Fiorentina forward, Roberto Baggio extended our lead from the spot.

Batistuta would pull a goal back for the home side just two minutes later, but it would prove to be in vain, with a quick-fire double from Ravanelli and Giancarlo Marocchi in the final five minutes sealing the result.

2005/06: FIORENTINA 1-2 JUVENTUS

Fabio Capello’s Juventus faced Fiorentina on Matchday 14 of the 2005/06 season. It would prove to be a tight and balanced game with an early Bianconeri breakthrough coming when Emerson’s delightful through-ball sent Zlatan Ibrahimovic away and the Swede squared for David Trezeguet to tap in the easiest of finishes. Fiorentina pegged Juve back five minutes from half-time with Manuel Pasqual’s cross being headed home by Gianpaolo Pazzini.

Both sides pushed for the win but it would be Juve to strike at the death: Ibrahimovic flicked a long-ball up towards goal, Trezeguet beat out Giuseppe Pancaro to head down into the path of Mauro Camoranesi and the Argentine-Italian finished with aplomb to seal a late, great win for the Bianconeri: que wild guitar celebrations!

2011/12: FIORENTINA 0-5 JUVENTUS

Our biggest ever win in Florence. Juve dominated this one from start to finish and it took a quarter-of-an-hour for us to go in front. Some nice passing play found Mirko Vucinic in space, and the forward placed a shot past the static Artur Boruc into the bottom left-hand corner. Alessio Cerci would soon be dismissed for an off-the-ball foul and the Bianconeri continued to press the hosts and from a corner kick the ball found its way to Arturo Vidal via Vucinic and after Arturo’s initial shot was blocked the keeper could do nothing about the rebound and Juve were two goals to the good.

The second half saw the Bianconeri extend their grip on the match and Vucinic again was the provider, crossing the ball across goal for Claudio Marchisio to nod in a third. Once more the Montenegrin, Vucinic was involved in a Juve goal, playing in Andrea Pirlo to finish from close range. Pirlo turned provider just five minutes later with his ball into the box falling into the path of Simone Padoin, bagging his first goal for the Bianconeri and putting the cherry on the cake of a fine performance at the Artemio Franchi.

2015/16: FIORENTINA 1-2 JUVENTUS

Another intense night at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with the eventual result that would see Juve complete their epic comeback season that had begun with the Bianconeri winning only three of their opening 10 matches, before going on to win all but two of their remaining 28 games!

Things began in Juve’s favour in Florence, with Paul Pogba heading Sami Khedira’s chipped pass into the path of Mario Mandzukic to volley in first-time and give us the all-important lead just before the half. Juve held their lead until what would be a chaotic final 10 minutes, as Nikola Kalinic equalised for the hosts with a drive from outside the box. However, Fiorentina’s parity wouldn’t last long, as just two minutes later Alvaro Morata popped up with a poacher’s finish to turn in Patrice Evra’s blocked strike and swing the tie back in Juve’s advantage. The drama wouldn’t end there though as La Viola were awarded a penalty on 90 minutes. Kalinic stepped up but Gianluigi Buffon stood firm to save not only the Croatian’s effort but also a quick-fire rebound to preserve our vital win!

2018/19: FIORENTINA 0-3 JUVENTUS

It’s rare to see the Bianconeri win so convincingly in a tough place such as Florence AND also keep a clean sheet, but that’s just what happened here in 2018/19! Starting to apply the pressure from the offset it would take until the half hour mark for Juve to strike as an incisive run and one-two with Paulo Dybala from Rodrigo Bentancur had the Uruguayan net a stunning finish.

Dybala delivered another assist on 70 minutes, as his cross into the box was meant by an inexplicable Giorgio Chiellini volley that flew past Alban Lafont! 10 minutes later and the game was fully wrapped up – a Fiorentina handball was punished by a spot kick and Cristiano Ronaldo made no mistake, slamming the ball into the top left-hand corner to give Juve a well-earned 3-0 win.
