Tiago Djaló is a new Juventus player.
The Portuguese defender, born in 2000, joins the Bianconeri on a permanent basis from Lille, having signed a contract until 2026.
Standing at 1.90 metres tall, Tiago is a central defender who loves duels and is physically strong, but at the same time is more than capable with the ball at his feet, given his history in youth football as a defensive midfielder.
Having grown up as a footballer in Portugal at Sporting CP, Djaló moved from the Lusitani to Milan in January 2019 where, still eighteen, he joined the Primavera team. He made 15 appearances for the Rossoneri Under-19 team in the second part of the 2018/2019 season, before moving to Lille in France, where he would remain until his move to the Bianconeri.
In the transalpine city, the now 23-year-old Portuguese gained valuable experience, totaling over 100 appearances in all competitions - 102 to be precise - winning an unforgettable title in Ligue 1 and a French Super Cup against PSG, and above all growing from a technical and personal point of view.
Welcome, Tiago!
