After negotiating the group phase of Coppa Italia, Juventus Women return to league action today against Sassuolo, only the second time they'll play the opening Serie A game of the new year at home.
The Bianconere have won their first match played in January in all of their five Serie A campaigns, scoring 21 goals and conceding just one.

FAVOURITE VICTIMS - With 30 goals, Juventus are the team which Sassuolo have conceded the most goals against in Serie A, at least nine more than any other opponent in the competition. HANG 10 - Having already struck nine times, Cristiana Girelli is the player that has scored the most against Sassuolo in Serie A. The striker could make the Neroverdi the first opponent she has reached double-digits against in the league since joining Juve in season 2018/19.
SHARING GAME - With 12 players on the scoresheet, the Bianconere boast the highest number of different goalscorers this Serie A season and the only team with as many as eight players with at least two goals to their credit - five more than Sassuolo.
OLD FLAME - Sofia Cantore wore the Sassuolo shirt last season, contributing 13 goals in the top flight (eight goals, five assists); the striker born in '99 has scored twice against the Neroverdi in Serie A, with the jerseys of Verona (January 2020) and Juventus (March 2018), but has never netted in a home fixture.
TURNAROUND - Sassuolo have lost just one of their last six Serie A matches – most recently against Milan – after picking up five defeats in their first six outings this season.
