Juventus marked their return to Europe's top-tier club competition with a well-earned 3-1 win over PSV Eindhoven in their Champions League opener played at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday night.
There was a host of star performers on the night, with their respective standout stats listed below.
NEW RECORD | At 19 years and 136 days, Kenan Yildiz became the youngest player to score for Juventus in UEFA Champions League, overtaking Alessandro Del Piero (20 years and 308 days against Borussia Dortmund on 13 September 1995). He is now the third-youngest players to score in the Champions League for an Italian side, after Mario Balotelli (18 years and 84 days) and Obafemi Martins (18 years and 142 days).
AWESOME ARGENTINE | Nicolas González is the third Argentine to have both scored and assisted on his UEFA Champions League debut, after Diego Simeone (September 1996) and Maximiliano Lopez (February 2005).
FAB FIVE | Weston McKennie is just the second player from USA to score five Champions League goals, after Christian Pulisic.
GREAT START | Prior to Thiago Motta, the only Juventus manager to oversee three goals scored by his side on his Champions League debut was Marcello Lippi, on 13 September 1995 against Borussia Dortmund.
YOUNGSTERS SHINE | At 25 years and 149 days, Juventus fielded their youngest-ever starting XI in a UEFA Champions League game.
