The Bianconere are set to take to the field on Sunday 22 February 2026 at 12:30 CET away to Ternana Women for the fifteenth matchday of this Serie A Women season.
Below are Massimiliano Canzi's words to the press on the eve of the match against the Umbrian team.
THE EMOTIONAL REACTION AFTER THE UWCL EVENING
"The team reacted with great anger, sporting anger, to their elimination from the Women's Champions League against Wolfsburg. I think after two performances like that, it was unlikely they would not reach the quarterfinals, but we know football and we know these things can happen. This anger must now be transformed into a competitive performance in the next match."
THE CONDITION OF THE GROUP
"The match against Ternana will be our eighth in 28 days, and I think that number says it all. I definitely have to thank my team because, thanks to their hard work, I can count on almost the entire squad. We've arrived at this last match before the international break in excellent condition, aside from a few minor injuries. I'll have the opportunity to field the best possible lineup, also considering the girls' level of fatigue and thus avoiding having physically exhausted players in the lineup."
THE LAST MATCH BEFORE THE BREAK
"Ternana is a team with a very clear objective: staying up, and they're playing very well. They recently changed their coach. It will be a very difficult match, also due to environmental issues: we'll be playing on a very different pitch than we're used to; it's one of the few synthetic pitches and it's also very small. We'll have to be good at making sure this doesn't pose a problem."
THE RACE FOR THE TITLE
"We'll have to focus on our future tomorrow, which means winning the match against Ternana. Then, of course, we'll wait and see what happens in the Inter-Roma match, but right now it's crucial to focus solely on our own match. Am I disappointed about last week's draw against Lazio? No, I think Roma might be more disappointed, as they played after us and drew against Napoli, failing to capitalize on our result. We played well against Lazio, who are a top-level team, but now—as is only right—we have to focus solely on Ternana."
