The new league season for Juventus if officially taking shape. In fact, today, in Milan, the draw for the Serie A 21/22 fixture calendar took place.
Our first matchday is scheduled for the weekend of 21/22 August with Juve set to play away in Friuli against Udinese. The second round of Serie A fixtures will, for the first time, be asymmetrical: we will take on Napoli at Allianz Stadium on 6 January 2022.
The Bianconeri's season will kick-off with a bang, as they will face Napoli (away) and Milan (at home), in the 3rd and 4th matchdays (12/09 and 19/09 respectively). The Derby della Mole will then be played on Week 7 (03/10) in Torino's home, with the return to Allianz Stadium set to take place on Week 26 (20/02). Another notable derby is that of the Derby d'Italia: we will go to San Siro for matchday nine (24/10) before then playing host to Inter on 3 April.
The Serie A season for Allegri's boys will end against Fiorentina on the weekend of May 22.
"In Udine you always suffer," commented Vice-President Pavel Nedved during the ceremony. "It is a difficult field but, as our coach Max Allegri says, you have to face them all".
Nedved then commented on Allegri: "I found him very eager."
