Juventus claimed three big points at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday as Leonardo Bonucci's double from the spot settled the Serie A Week 13 encounter.
Massimiliano Allegri, Bonucci and Adrien Rabiot shared their thoughts on the performance after the final whistle.
MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI
“We played a good game against an excellent team. There are still things we need to work on, like our decision-making in and around the box, but we've got ourselves a massive win today.
“We had lots of efforts on goal and more importantly we gave very little away at the back against a side who like to keep hold of the ball. We managed to put our game plan into practice and that's a big plus.
“We lost Danilo early on but were able to maintain our shape with [Dejan] Kulusevski on the pitch. We were compact, dug in when we needed to and held onto our lead intelligently.
“We're very happy with the performance today but we're determined to keep on improving.”
LEONARDO BONUCCI
“This is a crucial three points we've picked up this evening. We got our approach spot on and all worked hard from the first minute to the last – that's what made the difference.
“The first game back after the international break is never easy but we produced a solid showing and were good value for the win.
“We're Juve and we must make sure we always play with the level of focus we had today. We didn't start the season well this year but I'm convinced we're capable of doing much better.
“Today it was me who scored the goals but our forwards did a superb job.”
ADRIEN RABIOT
“Our approach to the match was excellent today and we're all delighted with the result. It was a very tricky game against tough opposition but we really needed the win.
“I feel good physically. I'm getting back into my rhythm again after testing positive for Covid-19. Having played two games for France helped me get minutes under my belt after an enforced spell on the sidelines and today was another step forward in that sense.”
