The Juventus Men’s First got 2026 underway with a 1-1 draw against Lecce on Serie A Matchday 18, as Weston McKennie cancelled out Lameck Banda’s opener at the Allianz Stadium.
Coach Luciano Spalletti and McKennie spoke to the press after the match.
LUCIANO SPALLETTI
“We need to improve in terms of the choices we make inside the penalty area. We played well and made progress in that regard, but obviously the result always makes the difference and we drew, we didn't win. Now we need to go out and win the next few games. However, I think that if we play many games like today's, we will ultimately achieve positive results.”
WESTON MCKENNIE
“We played well, created lots of chances and only lacked a goal. That's football, we need to move on and focus on the next game. We're frustrated not to have won tonight. I always make myself available to the team and the manager, giving my all on the pitch and trying to be useful and dangerous.”
