Juventus Women are eagerly anticipating the last match of the season, where an encounter against familiar foes Roma to determine this season's Italian Cup winners awaits. As current Cup champions, the Bianconere are desperate to defend their crown and finish the 2022/23 campaign on a high with a third Italian Cup victory in their history.

Ahead of Sunday afternoon's final in Salerno, we retrace our steps and rewind to that very first Coppa Italia success, achieved in 2019's final against Fiorentina.

THE VERY FIRST

28 April 2019, Ennio Tardini Stadium in Parma. Juventus Women, for the first time, in just the second season of their existence, have reached the final of the Italian Cup. Standing in their way lies Fiorentina, who finished second behind the Bianconere in the title race.

Juve play as expected, starting on the front foot and dominating play. Petronella Ekroth heads home from close range in just the 8th minute to give the Bianconeri an early advantage, before a Valentina Cernoia left-footed missile from range found the top corner on the half-hour mark to double the lead. Tatiana Bonetti's consolation strike for La Viola failed to spoil the black and white party, as Juve saw out the game to claim the Cup, the first in their history.
