Qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup is well underway in Europe, and a number of our Juventus Women’s First Team players have been busy this week with their respective national teams. Let’s take a look at how those in action on Tuesday fared.

Italy claimed a big 6-0 win away in Serbia on a night that Martina Lenzini will never forget - the defender scored her first-ever goal for the national team. As well as Lenzini, Bianconere Cecilia Salvai, Chiara Beccari, and Eva Schatzer were all involved.

Mathilde Harviken and her Norway teammates were also on the right side of a big scoreline, beating Slovakia 5-0 at home. That win put Norway onto six points and kept them in pursuit of Germany, who sit top of Group A4 with a perfect record from their three games so far.

In Group A1, meanwhile, Denmark and Amalie Vangsgaard went to Sweden and claimed a 2-1 win to keep them top of the group with seven points. Sweden and Italy sit behind on four.

Another Bianconera found herself on the scoresheet in Group B2, with Viola Calligaris netting for Switzerland to help them maintain their 100% record in a 3-1 win over second-placed Turkiye. The game was Switzerland’s 400th as a Women’s National Team, giving all the more cause for celebration.

Group B3 also saw a goal scored that was made in Turin. Ana Capeta provided the assist for club and country teammate Tatiana Pinto to score as Portugal beat Latvia 3-0, themselves maintaining a perfect record to go three from three this qualification campaign.
