08 December 2025
Matchday 5 of the UEFA Women's Champions League League Phase is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 6:45 CET, with the Bianconere set to face SKN St. Polten away.
Coach Massimiliano Canzi and Chiara Beccari spoke at a press conference introducing the match the evening before they face the Austrian team.
The number 9 spoke first, followed by the coach.
CHIARA BECCARI
"Personally and physically, I'm feeling good right now. I'm finding consistency and I can say I'm in great shape. Mentally, too, unlike last season, I feel in excellent condition: the whole team is doing well, and we're aiming to finish 2025 on a high. We already know that tomorrow we can achieve one of our seasonal objectives, and that's why we're all focused on the match that awaits us. Playing in the Champions League brings extra motivation, but in absolute terms, when you wear the Juventus jersey, every game is important: in Europe we always want to give our all because it's a stage that puts you on the map.
"The match against Lyon taught us a lot, both positive and negative: we became aware of our own abilities and the fact that we can produce great performances even against opponents of that caliber. We carry this with us, as does the disappointment of missing out on three points: a lesson we will certainly put to good use in future matches. The goal against Lyon was special because, in addition to being my first in Europe, I hadn't scored in a long time: the season started well, but I hadn't yet found the back of the net, and that was also special and emotional for that reason.
"I'm satisfied with the way I've started the season: I'm trying to maintain consistency, something I've lacked in the past. I can always improve and score more goals, but helping the team remains my priority, hoping to contribute more and more with goals. Tomorrow will be a difficult and important match; we need to get the three points against an opponent who is hungry for revenge. We're a team that has shown we can compete in Europe, not just in Italy: we're constantly working, and our growth path demonstrates that."

MASSIMILIANO CANZI
"Tomorrow's match is an important one because we're playing in the Champions League and therefore facing an opponent who deserves to play on such a prestigious stage. Beyond the few points we've picked up, they're a team that has sown much more than the standings suggest: the match will be tough, and that's why the risks are the same as always. We mustn't lower our intensity and we must respect our opponents.
"We always take to the field to win, as we have in these first matches: tomorrow we're playing to get three points, we know full well that the question of direct qualification remains open, and certainly as long as we can aim high, we will continue to do so. In terms of awareness, we managed to take another step forward, and I'm happy about this: we've shown we can face anyone, without denying that different levels still exist. In the league, however, the levels are leveling out, and therefore it's becoming more difficult for everyone to dominate: there are seven teams within three points, I wouldn't call it laxity. Let's take one thing at a time and now focus on the Champions League.
"We're heading in the right direction in Europe too, despite having achieved less than we deserved, but we're still very happy with our progress so far and we need to do well in the next two matches as well. Having played with courage and with our heads held high in the Champions League makes me very proud: winning tomorrow brings us closer to one of our seasonal goals, facing a tricky match against a team that is still potentially playing for playoff qualification. We don't expect them to roll out the red carpet for us, quite the opposite."
