The Bianconeri will be back in action tomorrow at 12:30 CEST, where this time they will take on Sampdoria at the Allianz Stadium. Ahead of the fixture, Massimiliano Allegri provided updates on his team and his thoughts about the fixture.
Here’s what he had to say:
TOMORROW VS SAMP
Tomorrow, we have to play well and look to win. It's an important match for the standings and in order for us to take the first three points at home. We are playing a lot of games and the level of mental effort required for that is challenging for everyone.
CURRENT FORM
I came back here to help a club I am very attached to win again. I like criticism, our situation is a challenge and I love challenges. With calm, we will get there. We didn't make mistakes for physical reasons, but technical, giving away loose balls. We're missing the results, because when you win, your self-esteem rises, you work better. So we have to think about beating Sampdoria tomorrow. Our job is to do well, improve the players and bring home results. I prefer to be criticised but with a winning team, "compassion" is felt for the loser. We have to get back to winning ways
TEAM UPDATE
There will be changes, we need to manage our energy and then we'll think about Chelsea. Everyone's fine except for Rabiot who won't be part of the squad for tomorrow, as he has a slight knock. Chiesa can play both on the right and left-hand sides. Let's see if he plays tomorrow. On Wednesday the subs who came on did well and this must be the norm. I will consider whether or not to start Bernardeschi tomorrow. However, Mattia Perin will play. He's ready and in good shape. I always try to put the players on the field in their ideal positions, in order for them to perform at their best. I'll decide tomorrow morning whether to start Kean or Alvaro Morata
LEAGUE FAVOURITES
The favourites for the title are Inter, Milan and Napoli. We have lost a lot of points, we have to continue on without looking at the table. Let's be consistent and in November we will see where we are, it will be a stimulating challenge.
