History repeats itself.
Last May, the Juventus Museum's Temple of Trophies trophy cabinets welcomed three new trophies from our women's team: the Scudetto and Coppa Italia, lifted by the Women's First Team, and the Scudetto Primavera, won by the Under-19 Women's team.
This season, little has changed, in fact at the start of this season the Juventus Women's team won the historic first edition of the Serie A Women's Cup. As always, the official presentation of the trophy at the Juventus Museum took place in the Temple of Trophies, in the presence of Juventus President Gianluca Ferrero, Juventus Museum President Paolo Garimberti, Women's Football Director Stefano Braghin, Juventus coach Massimiliano Canzi, captain Martina Rosucci, and Lindsey Thomas—the scorer of the winning goal in the competition final.
QUOTES FROM THE DAY
GIANLUCA FERRERO, JUVENTUS PRESIDENT
"The presence of the historic first Serie A Women's Cup in our museum represents not only a memorable achievement for the team, but also a concrete sign of the commitment and growth of our women's sector within the Club. With this trophy, the positive trend of success continues: every year Juventus Women has enriched our trophy cabinet with a title, a tangible sign of the continuity and strength of our project."
STEFANO BRAGHIN, WOMEN'S FOOTBALL DIRECTOR
"Every time we come to the Juventus Museum to present a trophy—and in these eight years, we've won fifteen—we realize the significance, the work the girls and all the people who help us have done and are doing, because there are so many faces behind these successes. I always say there's a team on and off the pitch, precisely because behind these trophies are women and men who do different jobs with a single goal: to arrive in this room, the Temple of Trophies of this museum, to ideally close a circle of victory. What's behind this continuity of victories is the Juventus spirit, the DNA of victory, work, sacrifice, discipline. Furthermore, being the first team to have won the Serie A Women's Cup has given us further satisfaction. Juventus is a pioneer, it has been a pioneer in women's football, it has been a pioneer throughout its history. Juventus, whose name means "youth," also means innovation, innovation in tradition, something unique. Every time we come here with a new trophy it's a way of confirming it to everyone, but above all to ourselves because we feel privileged to be part of a club that is unique in the history of football."
MASSIMILIANO CANZI, MANAGER OF THE JUVENTUS WOMEN'S TEAM
"This is the third trophy I've had the honor of bringing to this wonderful museum, and it's a cup that has the same value, the same significance as the others, and I believe history will prove it. The Serie A Women's Cup is a competition that was inaugurated this year, and we are honored to see our name first on the tournament's roll of honor. Entering such a magical place, steeped in history, like the Juventus Museum, is always a moment of great emotion because it's a moment where you see what's kept here, and you can't help but feel great emotion and pride imagining who brought all these trophies before us."
